“Out Loud Chicago” Compilation to Benefit Center on Halsted

June 23rd will see the release of the “Out Loud Chicago” compilation which is composed of cover songs by Chicago-based artists in the LGBTQ+ community. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Center on Halsted.

Center on Halsted is a LGBTQ+ community center in Chicago. The center opened their doors in the Lakeview neighborhood in 2007. They offer advocacy, support, and educational services to those in the Chicagoland area. They offer many classes, support groups, and even group sports. From individualized counseling to anti-violence support groups to open gym volleyball, the center has something for everyone in the LGBTQ+ community to keep everyone engaged, improve mental health, and provide awareness for many different issues.

This album was put together by local artist Sammy Cannillo. The compilation includes many incredible artists including Mitchell Jay, splits, Cameron Lee, OK Cool, Sammy Cannillo, IAMAURIN, Andie, Don Crescendo, Bringers, Jesse Bloduc, and Sarah Guinan.

The artwork for “Out Loud Chicago” was done by Sarah Guinan. There is an option to purchase a poster of the beautiful artwork. The compilation cover is the epitome of Chicago Queer and couldn’t have been done better!
